Thanks For All Your Help - The Clog Cake Is Done
Decorating By meghanb Updated 6 May 2006 , 10:25pm by meghanb
I finished it this evening. I am still not very pleased with how it turned out after everything was said and done. I delivered it a few hours ago and she seemed very happy with it.
Obviously she doesn't look through the CC galleries.
The cake lost alot of definition after it was totally iced, which is too bad, because I think it actually looked like a clog when I started.
I don't know where my head has been this week. I've followed the threads about the trouble you've had with the windmill and all.
For some strange reason I thought You were going to made a pair of COGS. Like gears, for the life of me I didn't see what cogs had to do with the Dutch.
So now that I've see the final cake, it's all so clear to me.
I need to slow down my reading of do less of it late at night.
By the way, they turned out cute! Be proud of them.
Now, on to the next project, right?

They are absolutely adorable! What size/shape cake did you carve them from? I really love them!

I used my oval pans from the Wilton Course 2 kit...not sure of the exact size though!
Thank you everyone for the kind words...and yes, I start my next cake this week...and then another the week after, and at least three more lined up!
They are definitely Dutch! And they turned out awesome. Keep up the good work! (I sound like a teacher at a grade school, LOL)

Definitely wonderful! Not only you carved one, but the other came out like a clone. Congrats!
