I have voted for some people when they have asked, is that wrong? I can be very naive (sp) I guess.

if you mean like I do I post asking questions for help BUT do try to add my input here and there on other threads that is not just me asking for help. Also I get lots of ideas for cakes on here and do pm the creators adn ask for help and they are always so awesome with helping me! BUT I am very shy about posting my cakes on here because I do not feel I will ever compare to the awesome cakes that all of you do so do not want to embarass myself! So that is why you never see my cakes on here. I like it here though I really do. I don't have much time to post here because I am so busy.

I don't think your worries are what the original poster had in mind. Not to speak for her, but there are people who JOIN here for another agenda other than hanging out and talking about cake. Whether it is to spam for their business or asking a "favor" of the members for their own self promotion.

i see what you mean, and when i saw a post similar to that in the last little bit, i sort of thought it was strange, but i just clicked on to the next thread. i will always click into posts, though, that are asking for prayers, etc, so please don't stop those coming!! i just choose not to vote for someone that i don't even know, or a kid that i'm supposed to say is the cutest.

i don't have any pictures posted yet, but only because i didn't feel like any of the ones i've had so far are as grand as i want them to be. i know we all begin somewhere, but i always like to have "wow" items, and i don't feel like any of mine are there yet. got several coming up though in the next few weeks, and by golly, you can bet my happy little butt will be on here faster than anything posting those....and then sleeping with my laptop beside me so i can see if anyone comments.

i greatly appreciate the help i have gotten from many of the members, and i try to soak it all up, so i can redistribute it on to someone else in need.

I use to wonder how there are so many members but the same ones post. Then I thought there may be brides that sign up just to see the pics and then they are gone.

Lol, don't you wish they could add some kind of buzzer feature that would go off when a post that is important to you gets a reply? Or maybe that would make the addiction worse?

Kris, I think I know who, oops, I mean what you are talking about; that is why I dont vote on anything that is not related to cake central. I think that if anybody is looking for votes for something that has nothing to do with cake central perhaps they should find a forum in some other site that is related to what they are asking votes for.

I have read many of the comments here on this thread, some still confuse me, and I just want to add my two cents. I am new to the real business of cake decorating. I have made cakes for my family for the past 17+years. Just opened a home baked business, and if it were not for the folks here at CC I think I would not have had the guts to start. I appreciate everything that I have learned from everyone here, and I try to post some of my better works. Some of the stuff that I have posted is in my opinion poorly done, (I can see the little quirks in my works) but, some I think are good. I take everything I learn from you and try to work it into my next piece. I have made the cakeballs from leftover scraps, and never would hae even thought of that, if I hadn't read it here. I guess what I am trying to say is I will be picking everyones brain as much as I can, because you all have so much to offer. I appreciate everyone on this site, and I can't believe it took me so long to find a place that I could get so much information. I know I don't share as much as some of ya'll but, I don't feel that confident in the mistakes I have made yet to help someone else not make them. Please don't take this wrong, but, I still don't understand what all the hullabaloo is all about. I come here to learn I hope you let me keep on learning.!!!!!!!!
