I made a chocolate cake this past weekend and used the Wilton's chocolate buttercream icing- it tasted too much like the cocoa powder. I am making a chocolate cake with strawberry filling for my son's birthday on Friday, and decorating with strawberry tuxedos. Does anyone know of a good chocolate frosting that has good chocolate flavor and will be easy to decorate with?
TIA
Kerri

i make a regular buttercream frosting and just add melted baking chocolate. it is pretty good. Just add amounts of it until you like the taste

Cheftaz,
I think I am going to try your Chocolate Ganache 1 recipe- do you use mild chocolate, bittersweet chocolate or what? Also, how much (cups) is 1oz of suger- I don't have a scale.
thanks
Kerri

I came up with that using Bittersweet chocolate
and 1 oz sugar= 2 tblsp, and the butter is used to keep it shiny. Good luck and I love that ganache
