I may have really messed up. I have a 4-teir wedding cake to do and the sweet little bride would like to have wild roses as the border of each tier. I looked at a picture she had that was pretty close to what she wanted and thought, no problem! WRONG! I have been all afternoon attempting to make those wild roses and can't get them for the life of me. I've made them in the past, and I don't know if I just forgot or what, but I can't make one now to save my life. I've even followed Wilton's directions from a yearbook and STILL no wild rose here. Can someone give me the secret to these simple roses that I can't seem to remember how to make? My son would remind me this is a sign of old age, but we won't go there. Any help out there would sure be gratefully appreciated. Thanks so much in advance. - God Bless, Ellie

Bump.
Is there an instructor near you who you can call, time permitting?

OK, I am a terrible explainer (is that a word???) anyway you use the rose tip (102 - 103) pipe a round petal. On the second petal you start under the first petal (tuck it under and pipe another round petal making five petals in all

does that help?? Five little yellow dots for the center

Oh boy! Thank you so much. I'll give that a try. I think I must have been doing it backwards because I wasn't going under it, I was starting on top of the other petal. I'm not really sure how I could go under, but I'll give it a try and see if that works. Thank you so much for taking the time to try to explain. And I think your a wonderful explainer! icon_smile.gif
