Hi, I am wondering if anyone has a recipe for milk chocolate icing? I found quite a few recipes that call for semi-sweet melted chocolate, but I am looking to melt milk chocolate and not sure if it will work in the same recipe. Thanks for any help! icon_smile.gif

What about using chocolate syrup, do you think that would work?

You could use chocolate syrup. It is good and it will be thick. Or coco adding milk. I don't have access to the ones that I use, but you can check out the recipes tab here. thumbs_up.gif

Thanks Onebigdogmama. I was thinking that I could just add chocolate syrup into my buttercream. I'm not decorating the cake, my friend's 13 year old daughter is and I just offered to make the frosting.

Melting regular milk chocolate chips would also work, I have done that before when I ran out of semi-sweet.

Thanks pattpm78, I will try that, I have some candy bars instead of chips, so I'll try those, just don't really want to run to town to get stuff.
