This is my second batch of MMF - I can't seem to get all the sugar kneaded in. It's really pretty smooth and not tacky - it's so firm and getting VERY hard for me to knead anymore! I think I'm approx 6 cups into it...so I have about 2 cups left. Do I really have to use all the sugar?

I'm using this batch for modeling on a Candy Land cake if that helps!

if the dough is smooth and not sticky, I would stop adding sugar. let it rest a bit. If it then becomes sticky, use sifted sugar and knead it a bit more. If it seems dry, put a bit of shortening on your hands and on your work surface and knead it just a bit more.

Humidity can very much effect how much sugar the dough requires.
