Bear with me I'm a rookie. I just puchased some push in pillars, they come with Rings. I'm not sure what to do with the rings. The obvious thing seems to be that they are placed underneath the bottom layer and then the pillar is pushed down into them???? I am only doing two layers...Please guide me in my young cake making ways.

Actually, the rings go on top of the cake, to hide where you inserted the pillars. If you don't like the look of them, you don't have to use them. I've got some too. I was hoping to use them on a wedding cake for this weekend, but no the MOB wanted different pillars. I like that you don't have to use additional support with them.

Good luck with them!! Be sure to post a pic!!
