I hope you all can understand this, and I appreciate any help anyone can offer.
I seen a border that looks like a shell border with a larger tip, I believe, and then there's a strip diagonally over it in another color. Does anyone know exactly how to do this....I kinda remember from the pic, but I wish I had that pic now....wish I could remember where I saw it.
Anyone?? THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am interested to see if any shows a pic of it to see what you are talking about... always looking for different borders to try out.
Do you mean a rope border with alternating colors?

Thanks, chrisj, but unfortunately that's not it...this is just a bc border.
..maybe it was a squiggly line that was diagonally over the shell?!?! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
Shells, squiggely lines attached photo...

Do you remember what the cake's theme was? Or how long ago you saw it?
Similar to this one....but I've seen it done with a tip 2 or 3 maybe.....I was just wondering if there were any certain way it had to be done or if you could do a lot of "playing" with it.
Oh well, here's kinda like what I was talking about....this came out of a wilton yearbook.
Thanks for all of your help, chrisj!!
Are you talking about a "flute"? you use the 104 rose tip. Put the wide part in between the shells, & pipe a fllute. I use this all the time.
I've seen "confetti" cakes done in bakeries where they pipe squiggely lines over shells to resemble confetti strings. I also found several here at CC

Doesn't look very difficult. Sorry couldn't help much.
The one out of the year book just looks like a tip #32 and then maybe a #16 or smaller rick rack design over each shell in alternating colors!
I'd love to see a pic of what you are talking about if you ever find it!
Amy
yeah the one in the yearbook photo........that's exactlly what it is......just a star tip a smaller one and you pipe the squiggly line over top of the shells....kinda like how they teach you to make clouds in the class
