Vanilla Chai Spice Cake, What Filling To Use?

I can't imagine what flavor to put in this cake. It smells heavenly, so I'm not sure I want to overpower that with any flavor, really.
Maybe a lightly spiced filling? Extra vanilla?
Hmm!
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
You could make a pot of chi tea, strain and use the tea as the water for your butter cream.
Maybe a cinnamon BC- very lightly spiced as you suggested. The cake sounds yummy, care to share the recipe?
You might consider an apple pie/spice filling. Use less spice so it wont over power the cake.
I would just stick with a creamy vanilla. I think it would be a nice complement to the cake; instead of matching the flavor!!
Here is a link to a yummy-sounding recipe for chai spice buttercream

You're right; I'm thinking the vanilla or maybe just a touch of the chai mix in the filling...
NEAT link to the cupcake web page there! Thanks!
It's just my favorite white cake with 2 TB of Vanilla Chai Spice CoffeeMate added to the dry ingredients...nothing tricky there. It smells HEAVenly.
