I'm new at using fondant. I love it but it is kind of expensive and doesn't taste that great. Can I ice with BC and smooth and then attach fondant decorations? Will the decorations stay on? What do I use to attach them to the BC? I'm hosting a baby shower and I want to do a stacked package cake with a fondant bow and polka dots. TIA!

P.S. - I am new, what does MMF stand for?

MMF= Marshmallow Fondant

People do buttercream with Fondant accents all of the time. Just use a decorator brush and brush the back side of the fondant with water or vanilla. It will act like glue.

I am glad I just read this. I am also pretty new at using fondant and have been attaching my pieces the buttercream which is time consuming and can be a mess. Like the other idea much better!

Thank you so much! I use vanilla for fondant on fondant but I didn't know if it would hold to buttercream. Thanks!!!
