Enhanced Batter Question

I did a french vanilla enhanced with butterscothc pudding recipe and the cake was wonderfully raised when I took it out of the oven....as it cooled it shrivelled quite a bit...is this normal? It's the first time I used the kitchenaid and maybe I over mixed it??
Any thoughts on this? This is what they have decided they want for the wedding cake flavor and any advice is much appreciated...Thanks

I believe it was because of the pudding. The same thing happens with pudding-in-the-mix-cakes. I don't think that there is any way around it.
