Hello,

This will be my first time trying to make a buttercream transfer. I was wondering if you use the same recipe you use to coat a cake? Wouldn't it have to be a lot thinner? Please, please help!

thanks,
Kat

There is a recipe in the recipe section for buttercream icing; I just use regular icing, but you can try searching under recipes. I will see if I can find it.

I've always used my regular all crisco buttercream for FBTCs. There are some that say you need all butter or even half and half, so it does very per person. Try what you are use to making first.

I usually use meduim icing, but you can thin it down a little. I have had problems with thin icing sticking so I usually go with more of a med.
