Hi everyone looking for some inspiration. I work in Fondant mostly and I'm a little bit stuck for idea's for my daughter's confirmation. I would like to incorporate something into the cake top that would be seen to be a standard Confirmation Logo/Image on cards, school posters etc.

I won't have access to Piping Gel in time and I don't have a Spray Gun, so what do you think, how should I go about this and would it look the same with a pink background (Girl)

You could do a FBCT. I don't have a lot of experience with fondant, so I am no help there. Here's a bump and maybe someone with more expertise can help. Good luck with it!

Could you do fondant cut-outs?

I think that the pink background would look really nice, too.

Is it just me or is it harder to do cakes for our own children??

Good luck!

Thanks both of you for your idea's, I'm afraid I wouldn't know where to start with a Transfer. I'm thinking now of maybe doing it as cutouts and padding out the dove, like in Trapunto.

hello
do you work with chocolate?
the image you posted would look amazing (and impressive) as a chocolate plaque.
give it a try!
ciao

It's a beautiful image. The dove is the hardest thing to draw ... everything else you could freehand. If you could enlarge the picture of the dove to the exact size, just cut the dove out of the paper. Press the paper onto your crusted buttercream and lift. You'll have the impression you need. then decorate around the dove any way you feel would be pretty. A pink background would be nice.
