GOOD JOB! )
Fairytale, I am soooo impressed! That is just a great cco!!!! I love the little ?warts? on him. I will have to go look at Michaels for more molds now!
It seems to me that you ALWAYS (and I mean ALWAYS!) break the mold (no pun intended ) when it comes to any of your confectionary goodies. You are a true inspiration and thanks for sharing your wonderful work with all of us!
Thanks guys. And tayesmama, you are just so sweet. I appreciate your nice comments. It really encourages me. I must say these little frogs put a smile on my face every time I look at them.
These are so cute. Is it green and white candy melts with an oreo. What a cute idea. They put a smile on my face too when I saw them.

Thanks. I used Guittards vanilla melts and added green and yellow candy oils.
Love this idea, may I borrow it?
Oh yes, please do. That's why I posted it.
haha!! Those are adorable!!! What a fun idea! I have to learn to look at things differently. I would have just walked right by that and thought "Oh, what a cute SOAP mold!" Not, "Wow! I could make a kick a$$ cookie out of that!" hahaha!! Really cute!
Those are great! What a CUTE party favor for my daughter's birthday! I have to make sure I go look at the soap molds more.
One question, you say that you used "tiny oreos". Can you expand on that as well for me. You didn't use the regular or double-stuffed?
Thanks much!!

jen, there are mini oreos that came in either bags or snack cups.

Yep, those are them. Thanks for posting them. You can also get a mini peanutbutter cookie that would probably be good. Also those little Ritz mini cookies. Their just adorable.
Thank you! I did spot them at the grocery store last night so I know what you were talking about. I'm going to Michael's today to pick up the mold and give them a shot!
Another question since I haven't seen the mold up close yet, how many mini oreos did you put in the middle? Just one or did you stack a couple in there?
Thanks again!
HI !
These are the cutest!!
I am new to the cookie and the chocolate thing and trying to break out of cakes only. I am lost on how these work. I have done 1 chocolate mold- it was the high heel shoe, hollow that I made. It was a pain! Could someone explain the steps to this? Like do you dip the oreo first then pour chocolate into the mold? Then attach? Or am I way off??
Thanks for helping me learn!!
I would also like step by step how to do this. Having a frog party next month. They are soo cute!
LOL Doug,
yes we always need all the details!!
They are lovely! i would love to make those.

Since the mold is shallow, I only put in one oreo, but you could probably take the top off another one and it might also fit.
To make these, I poured the eyes first, then let that set up in the freezer. Then poured part of the head and let that set up. I then placed the Oreo in the center and filled in around it, up to the top of the mold. To finish it off, I dotted the eyes so that they had pupils, places some more dots, and applied some luter dust. (Don't apply luster dust when the chocolate it still sweating or the dust will streak.
fairytale, thanks for posting the directions!
is this the mold you used?
Glad you guys like it. No, that's not the mold, but I sure wish I had that one. It's a better than mine. The one I used had 3 frogs and two trutles. I'll be it's just a little version.
Please everyone, be sure and post your frogs. I can hardly wait to see them.
jescapades - where did you find that frog mold just in case I can't find the mold that Fairytale speaks about from Michaels?
Thanks!!
jen, i found it here. better get yours now before everyone finds out about them! lol there are only 100

Those are the cutest things! I have the mold jescapades has. I got it at the local cake shop but I never dreamed of using it for mini oreos. Now I'll have to check all my molds to see if they are big enough for mini oreos!!! Thanks Fairytale.
I orginally got this mold to do Harry Potter chocolate frogs!
