Hi everyone!! I'm so happy!! Since last wednesday I'm officially in business!!! I have all the licenses and all to operate from my kitchen on a company and all.... I'm still working on my business plan tho but it's going great!! I'll probably be able to advertise at the end of May and get more clients!!! icon_biggrin.gif I'm so happy!!!! and thanks to everyone in here for all the tips. I'm learning everyday!! Can't wait learn new things again!!

I am also in the process of writing a business plan and was wondering where you got your info and if you wouldn't mind sharing what you found and your plan?

Hi Lori,

Actually I don't know how it works where you live. But here in Quebec Canada, we have programs to support new businesses. I'm working with the Local developpement center here for my work plan. We do an inventory of what I have, what I will need, ask for estimated price at local suppliers, how much for publicity, and estimated what could be my income for the next year. Afterwards we'll see if I'm approved for a grant or at least a very low interest loan with nothing to pay for the first two years. Maybe I'll get nothing, maybe I'll get a little something. I don't know. I'll know when everything is completed. So I still need a few weeks, but I keep my finger crossed ( well I hope it's not to long its hard to decorated a cake with my finger crossed icon_wink.gif )

Hope it helps you anyway. I called just one lady that works to help people find their way into making their own business and she directed me towards the right persons. so... You just need to find someone to help you find the way... Good luck to you!! icon_smile.gif

Try your state's government website for business guidelines and a business plan worksheet. CC has a link under "How To" on the home page.

Also, try searching the web for business planning etc.
