Hello Everyone My Name is Kimberly. I ran across this site last week by accident and am soooo happy I did. You folks are great! I have posted a question or two but never thought to introduce myself until I notices others doing it. Well, anyway I am a 34 year old mother of 1 (the cutest 2 1/2 year old boy you ever saw). I am a stay at home mom who babysits 4 days a week and works outside the home as a veterinary tech.9 hours a week. Since I am new to cake decorating and will be taking more information than I will be giving out on the subject I would be more than happy to answer any dog/cat questions you would have for me.
I have 10 years experience in that field.
I will graduate Wilton I sat. night. I love it! My husband got me the class for Easter, and keeps asking "So how much is this $15.00 class going to cost me anyway?" LOL
I best keep this short...don't want to bore you all so soon.

Welcome to the "family." I must warn you...this site is addicting . I saw the link to this site on another forum, so I thought that I would check it out...I have been here ever since. I am also a stay at home mom. I have a two year old and a 9 month old. I also attend college full time, but take my classes online so that I can be at home with the kids.

i have to agree, this site is very addictive!! i check the new post every few hours. but i have learned so much!!!!!
i just finished my wilton course 1 class this week and love it also....so are you going to take the course 2 class? i start next week and am so excited about it. as for your new hobby....yes it is expensive at first, then you can sell your cakes to friends and family and make a little$$$$

Welcome! I am new here as well. I am trying to absorb all the info that is here - I feel kind of like a big sponge. I just finished the last class of Course III last night - and I am wishing there were more.

Yes, I definately plan on taking all the classes! Class II doesn't start for a few weeks so I am stocking up on ideas of things I want to try. So many ideas so little time.

Hi Kimberly, I am a 34 yr. old stay-at-home mom too,and I am brand new to this site as well. I have 3 kids, 13, 9 & 3. I have been doing cakes for friends and family for about 14 years, but I joined a mothers group, and after making a cake for one of my new friends, and over 140 moms in the group, my calender is getting filled quickly with requests, although I think I will only do about 3 or 4 a month. I am really enjoying the opportunities to try new things, and I know I will depend on this site for advise.
