I think of kites,flowers,flower pots, baby animals and spring when I think about May. Hope these ideas help. Also, what about Mothers Day? I will have my cookies done for Aprils theme tomorrow and posted by the afternoon. This is my first time with cut cookies and have been nervous about trying after seeing everyone elses work. But, dh said I will never learn if I don't try so we will see what happens.

We are all still learning so don't be a-skeered. (well, except for Helen and Cake_Princess, and oh, Mac, and um, well, a whole bunch of others) I made cookies today and started decorating them for a baby shower. I may have to leave Zamode in the cookie-protest- march and start baking more! (sorry Zamode) icon_lol.gif I actually had a batch of icing with NO AIR BUBBLES!! icon_surprised.gif Thanks Helen and Cake-Princess for your icing knowlege and cindy6250 for the tip on burying your decorating tip in icing. thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

Ok, everyone, I just thought it might be helpful to have a recap of the suggestions so far for May's cookie theme. Sorry if I've missed any, I didn't intentionally leave any out (except for Zamode's "no cookies" theme idea - sorry Zamode, happy striking to you!)

May cookie club theme ideas (so far):

kites*
flowers*
flower pots
baby animals*
mother's day
wind
racing
"M" things
grass turning green
trees budding
aquatic things
summer
(edited to add) graduation

(* = suggested more than once)


Any other ideas that come to mind? thoughts or opinions on any of the ideas already mentioned?

High school graduation is in May-what about graduation caps/scrolls. They are popular here

Hi everyone! I'm new and I have been reading all these posts and I must say its wonderful to know there are so many cake-cookie addicts like myself. thumbs_up.gif

Anyhow, just wanted to say I love the flowers idea for May. I think there are many ways you can go about decorating flower cookies (realistic, abstract, cutsie) not to mention there are tons of varieties of flowers!

Can't wait to hear what theme you end up choosing. Its going to be a fun way to get me to come up with some new designs!

Hello eveyone!

The April cookies were SO awesome! It's almost time for a new cookie club theme!

"Flowers" seems to be the most requested/suggested them for the month of May so far. Any other ideas or thoughts to share before May begins?

Yes, Flowers was the consnesus for May's Theme.

I started a new thread for them yesterday called "May's Cookie Theme"

Can't wait to see everyone's creations!!
