I have to do a baby shower cake for tomorrow (Sat) evening at 5pm.
I will be decorating it tonight (Fri.). The cake will be decorated with buttercream, but I will be putting on a few fondant decorations (booties) that I made previously.
I was wondering if I put the fondant decorations on the buttercream cake tonight and box it up, will the fondant get soft?? icon_confused.gif
It will be boxed tonight around midnight tonight and sit on my table until 5pm tomorrow.

Please help!

I don't think that will be a problem....I don't think fondant breaks down like royal icing, as lonmg as the fondant booties are fairly dry when you place them on the cake you should have no problems.....I've had fondant roses on top of buttercream for several days and they were fine.

Thanks, Cindymm4, I'll go ahead then. I did let everything dry well.

Thanks to you to Flayvurdfun, I appreciate it.
