I'm using Wilton's "Always and Forever" separator ring (angels, hearts, scrolls). I'm pressing my fondant onto the ring using my hands and a fondant smoother, and even a rolling pin. I can't seem to get all the deep impressions to transfer to the fondant. Is there a trick?
Also, is Crisco the best item to use on the ring so that the fondant doesn't stick?
I want to use the fondant/impression to wrap around the bottom of my cake.....inspired by one of the San Diego Cake Show entries.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
