I have a sweet sixteen cake to do for a real cool teenager. Her mom wants me to put the BD girl's photo on the sheet cake with #16 all around it using crayon colors. Good thumbs_up.gif no problem there...I was thinking that instead of just putting the pic on the cake and pipe around the edges... it would be nice to do something else or unexpected such as a picture frame or something else...

Q: Does anyone have any other COOL ( or...) ideas on how to approach the frame?

I was considering doing the frame using fondant but, I just don't know????
What do ya think??

Thanx

You could do a fondant frame, made to look like the road, and put a red convertible or some other type of car on it if she will be getting her drivers license. You could do some really pretty flowers around it, border it with makeup or something else that she's interested in. What are her interests?

what about doing something like a scrapbook page, and doing a couple photos, with icing "embellishments", different borders/frames, etc. and incorporating things that she likes.
