Tonight I made orange cupcakes and brushed some peach schnapps on top, Fuzzy Navel!! I'll be posting a pic tomorrow after I get them frosted-gotta let the schnapps soak in icon_wink.gif
'A waste of time' is a good example of the theory of relativity. 4 hours spent on decorating a cake is a long time, 'a waste of time', to some, but to the decorator those hours seem like minutes because they're doing something they love.

These all sound great!
I love making a yellow cake, substitute 1/3 to 1/2 of the water in the cake mix with light rum. Prepare bundt pan, sprinkle chopped pecans on the bottom, pour in mix. 5 minutes before cake is done, combine a cube of butter, some brown sugar and 1/2 cup rum...bring to a boil...pour over cake when it comes out of the oven.... yum!

I actually make cake balls out of any cake scraps I have, if I have enough. The blackberry wine cake, mimosa and fuzzy navel cakes on here are good. Have to try all the recipes on here though since they sound good. I make the chocolate-coconut-burbon cake that's on the foodnetwork website from Collette Peters a lot too. Makes great cake balls!
