I am ready to invest in the ol' pasta machine...what kind do you all recommend and have success with?

Hi I have the Marcato Atlas pasta machine with the motor. I love mine I just used it on the last cake I posted . I couldn't have gotten that cake finished on time with out it. I have used fondant ,gumpaste and50/50 fondant and rolled buttercream . It all did great!

Atlas.....works great and does a great job.

Tried one of thoe cheaper plastic models, long ago.....used it twice and got the Atlas.

About how much do the Atlas run and where is a good place to buy them?

You can get them from any good kitchen supply store.

You might also try Ebay, though the sucker is heavy and shipping might be expensive.

I can't recall how much I paid for mine..I've had it for so long now.

Got the KA pasta attachment on ebay. Seems to work just fine.

I use the atlas with a motor too. Works great.
