I am interested in working with candy clay to make animals for my sons birthday party cake. How do you use candy clay, is it like fondant, Any help or idea's would be greatly appreiciated!!! Thanks

Just like fondant. If you look in my pics I did most of the animals in my jungle cake out of candy clay...

Hope that helps

Oh, if you have problems with the arms staying on, just use a bit of piping gell to hold them

Thank you so much for your help I was a littel worried that I might not be able to work with it .. I heard some saying it dries to quickly!

I really liked it. Have only used it once. Just beware. I made mine and the next day is was hard! I thought it was ruined but everyone from here said to just put it in the microwave for a short time. I did and it was fine. Just had to knead it a little. Good luck

I always add 2/3c. syrup in my candy clay. It makes it softer.

I have a recipe that uses glycerin instead of corn syrup. Has anyone tried that. If so which one do you prefer?

I've never used the glycerin one, but wouldn't mind knowing how it turns out - *bump*
