I jsut tried using it instead of water, it seemed to make a denser cake. Is that what it's supposed to do? Is it supposed to make it denser, moister, better tasting, or what? Just wondering what's supposed to happen and if I did it right.

It will make it a moister cake and if you are using a flavored creamer it will add flavor. As far as it being denser, I am not sure. The extra mositness of the cake might make it seem a bit heavier but normally to make a cake more dense i will add an extra egg and box of pudding.
