Making Fondant Figures And Flesh Color
Decorating By SeptBabyMom Updated 19 May 2007 , 9:44am by JanH
I was interested in knowing how you get the flesh colored fondant for making 'people' figures? Just a touch of brown? Or is there a secret?
Also, are there any tools to help with making these figures? Or is it a practiced art?
Any help or suggestions or articles would be greatly appreciated.

Wilton makes a color called Copper and if you use just a little bit, it makes skin color.
For flesh I use a dab of an orangey yellow colour and a tiny speck of pinky red. Most shops sell flesh colour paste anyway. Marcella Sanchez (famous figure modeller) uses orange with a hint of green (!)
I use tiny bits of soft pink and a hint of yellow. It makes a soft peachy color that looks like skin
In art class we were taught to add a tiny bit of green to peach to get a realistic looking pale flesh tone
