YES! That is what my almost five year old said to me... Why? because the cake I have that has been eaten is ROUND not 9x13. He absolutely refuses to try a taste.... he said I dont like that kind of cake its not real. He went to my 9x13 pans and pulled one out and said "this is a real cake" dont make my birthday cake like that... make it real.
I just had to laugh, I hope to get him to try it to realize that its the same thing, but until then its a curse of my hubbys family..... stubborness!
now mommy you know round cakes are just big donuts with the whole missing go on and fix him a real cake! ...lol that was so cute kids know what they know. he made my day
Yep, it is definitely time to get out those round pans and let him experience "real" cake! Janice
He is so hard to make understand things dont have to be just one way.... I think I did that to him.. he and his 7 year old brother, have to share a room.. each are very marticulous (spelled wrong?) about everything... everything has to be in the place where they put it... their room is wonderfully organized... yes I did that, but for them being 7 and almost 5 they have picked it up wonderfully... his star war figures have to be in one draw, his planes in another, his sabers in another...and if they get mixed up...he gets like this! got to love him though!
That is so cute about the round vs rectangle pan......maybe you could have him help you make a cake and help pour the batter into a round cake pan....maybe then he'll see it's the same thing. My youngest daughter is very maticulous as well, nothing at all like my other children......her room is always neat and she is very organized although as she is entering the "teen zone" somtimes alot of attitude comes into play and God help anyone who get sher stuff out of order!
I dont look forward to that, I have a son with the attitude already...he's 14.... I have a 7 year old and this one to go through.... can I survive it? ?:
LOL! I wonder what he'll say if you make a novelty cake that really doen't look like a cake!
he was ok with the R2D2 cake....because it was only one layer....and when cut it wasnt cut in triangles! He's crazy!
