Well a kitchen aid machine is not going to be the machine I can purchase icon_sad.gif After all this they will not ship across the border and Kitchen aid Canada does NOT sell from their site you have to go to a store. The prices are over double and so it is way out of our league. Now I am sooo disapointed. Thank you everyone for trying to help me out I really do appreciate all your input and putting up with all my questions/posts on this. Gonna go sulk now icon_sad.gificon_sad.gif and head to sears for the Sunbeam!

Maybe you could try E-bay there are a lot of people that sell them there.

Is Ebay an option for you? I have a KA KSM150 on it's way purchased from there, brand new, full waranty etc for 175 euros (about $200) LESS than I can get it in the cheapest shop here. Mine's coming from Germany, so I'm sure someone in the US who sells them on Ebay will ship across the border to you. Worth a think at least!

We have looked at ebay and the sipping to here is on average 89.00 in US funds....it really isn't worth it.
The machine I was going to get at the outlet was $249 US and that same machine here is $599.99 plus 15% sales tax.....unbelievable!!!!!!!

That's odd. They used to sell from the site because I bought my pink one from kitchenaid.ca

However, if you buy it from Costco, Linens n' Things or HBC, the Bay or Sears it is much cheaper!

Ebay is of course another route.

Just went to www.kitchenaid. ca and was able to put a KA in my cart and go to a checkout.

You should have no problem there. They ship from Mississauga (I believe).

I am not sure if they have a Superstore (or Loblaws?) out East, but sometimes they have coupons in their flyers for $20-$30 off when you spend over $200. In Manitoba, the basic model is $298.98.

HOLY COW! I just noticed this on the same page as the Kitchen Aid mixer from QVC.

Bonus offer with purchase at no extra charge - your choice of food grinder or slicer/shredder. Offer valid through May 31, 2006 at 11:59 pm ET

WOW! Those attachments are $70+ dollars on their own!

Thank you for the QVC site...those prices are MUCH better than our Canadian!!!
I should explain about the Canadian site too. I spoke with them on the phone and they told me that they could refer me to a retailer to buy one of the machines, that they DO NOT sell from Kitchen Aid Canada site....but like you I saw the checkout buttons etc. So I can't figure that part out. They did give me the names of stores that sell KA products and we only have a very FEW of them, (costco, sears, canadian tire etc.) but they only offer 1 make/model and it sells here for anywhere from $299 - $599 and add on 15% sales tax and one place another 5% because I am not a member...it makes the kitchen aid machine far out of our budget.
I am tyring to figure out how I can get the Accolade machine from the US outlet store as it seems to be the best value. If I can't then I'm not sure if I will go with the new site you just sent me (it would work out to $374. approximately Canadian for the Artisan machine) or just go to Sears and get the Sunbeam Heritage for $199 plus 15% sales tax.
I have WAY TOO MUCH information going on in my head right now!!! It is just spinning trying to figure this all out and I can't believe hubby has been so supportive of this!
Anyway...thanks so much for ALL your help. I will let you know what machine we get .....that is when I figure it out hahahaha

This is what I was thinking as well. Your location says the Maritimes but where abouts in the Maritimes? I ordered my KA from the US outlet and had it shipped to a border town. Picked it up myself and brought it across with having to only pay GST. My Pro 6, when all was said and done, cost me $340 CDN which is a heck of alot better then the $699 w/o tax from Home Outfitters or the Bay.

Hope you can find a solution to purchasing it from the Outlet. icon_smile.gif

I got mine (actually a nice QVC deluxe model Kitchenaid, 6qt) on Ebay, brand new, not refurbished...and lots of Ebay sellers sell worldwide. Just make sure they are a reputable seller and that the item is sealed in original package, not refurbished. I got mine for at least $50 cheaper than I could have gotten in any store (Can't remember exactly what I paid.)

Taigen, try going online to www.cayneshousewares.com they're a canadian company in toronto. They'll be able to ship to you I'm sure. They sell the 5qt KA for $259.99 with tax it's around $290. Hope that helps. They also sell the artisan and 6qt pro, just not sure what the price is.
