Just a thought as im at work and not really motivated to do anything...
Is it possible to make a cake mix and before baking it inserting Chocolate Truffles (either Grand Marnier or Champagne Truffles) into it? THey aren't liquid at all. They have a filling in the middle which is not runny so it wouldn't add any liquid to the cake...is it possible? I wanted to make a bundt cake with different types of truffles in the pieces... any suggestions ??? thanks
chrystal
Believe it or not there are actually recipes that are similar to that. It's where you bake a cake and put balls of choclate in the center, before baking...which stay soft. Some people call them Lava Cakes. I printed out some recipes a while back but can't put my hands on them right now! Sorry I couldn't be more help! Let me know how it turns out if you make them!!
im gonna try it tonight... IM teaching at a local bakery how to do pulled sugar pieces tonight.. so i think i might throw it in the oven as im teaching this class.... im pretty excited about it... i have a really good recipe for a lava cake... but its not inserting something into it.. the recipe has more cocoa i think and you don't cook it as long... I think i made it for a birthday for a family that is like my other parrents lol... they are vegetarians..this cake had no eggs at all ... and it was so moist... I made a really good bundt cake the other day... and i sold it today for 21.99 lol and kinda laughed cause it was out of a box and i made the chocolate from melted chocolate and heavy cream... these people went crazy over it... omg i completely got off of the subject...sorry lol
