Where Can I Find Liquid Glucose?

My cake decorating class is looking for liquid glucose. So far we have tried local grosery stores, and AC Moore where the class is held--NO LUCK! Any ideas where I can find it or is it something I will have to order online. I would prefer to find it local.
I found the glucose I use at Old Time Pottery in the cake decorating isle. It's made by Wilton and comes in a tub.
What is liquid glucose anyway? I thought it might be piping gel. I wasn't sure so I didn't answer this post. I learn new things everyday~
Try a wine making supply store. That's where I get mine from for my other hobby (wine making) . Likely much cheaper than Michaels or other like stores.

I think that walmart has it in the drug store part of the store also..
Ya'll never said what liquid glucose is??
Found this site for you TC that tells you what it is: http://www.riddhisiddhi.co.in/prod_lg.htm
Liquid Glucose is a mixture of Glucose, Maltose and Maltodextrin and Oligosaccharides. It is a colorless, odorless, viscous sweet syrup, mainly used in confectionery and pharmaceuticals industry as a sweetener and bonding agent. It is a combination of mono, di, tri, penta and higher saccharides.
High Maltose Corn Syrup is a specially prepared acid-enzyme converted corn syrup which contains maltose as its major carbohydrate constituent. This high maltose syrup improves flavor, body, and texture at high sucrose replacement levels while imparting resistance to color formation, moisture absorption, and crystallization in finished products such as hard candies. It produces finished products which have exceptional stability, clarity, and brilliance.

...don't know the technical aspects of glucose but it is an ingredient used to make gumpaste and fondant.
Cool! Thanks Mouse! I was thinking about glucose the minute I opened my eyes this morning!!
Your welcome TC....if you read the ingredients list on some of your foods, you will find a glucose syrup of some sort that is used as a sweetener in the product. For example, my bottle of gatorade that I am looking at has glucose-fructose syrup in it.
before i started this hobby, i did a vacation bible school one year and we had to use that stuff for one of the crafts, (a water globe) anyway i found it at osco drug store. i didnt realize i would ever use it agian making cakes....you learn something new everday.....on this site!

Anyway I have a receipe for Moulding icing. It calls for 7ml liquid glucose
1 egg white
1 lb con. sugar
You can mold the cutest things! I really want to try it.
hey, i bought this cake decorating book the other day and it has a recipe for gumpaste. the ingredients are probably in everyones cabinets. does anyone want the recipe???
Yes please. I haven't explored molding flowers with gumpaste or molding icing yet. I have made some with the melting candies and corn syrup. I would like to try my hand at it.
