Hi all,
Thanks so much for the suggestions on a last minute fix of my easter basket handle. I ended up leaving it off as I couldn't replicate the original design on top of foil. It looked like a flowerpot instead of a basket in the end, oh well!
This is how it looked before, unfortunately I didn't get time to clean it up or place it on a nice background, so apologies for the bad photo!
Keira
keira, you did wonderful. You can't tell that there's anything wrong with it. I would love for this to me my "disaster" cake - if this is as bad as you do then I'd say you're not in too bad shape. Great Job! - your cake turned out very nice!
sorry guys,
I should point out that this is the before disaster photo! It now has no handle at all and I had to fix the grass and add some flowers behind my bunnies to cover the holes and squashed grass!
I wonder if I had let my flowerpaste handle dry longer than 24 hours if it would have not collapsed? It was so thick and fat that I reckon maybe I needed a week? I am not sure!?
Your cake looks Great!!!
I thought this topic would fit my cake, it turned out really lop sided, but it tasted really good. It was for my family's Easter celebration!
See my photos

I also wnated to add, that I got the decating idea from someone on this sight. I can't remember the name, but I wanted to say "Thank You"!

Awh, that is sooo cute. Your bunnies are adorable too! Sorry to hear about the handle.
I had the same disaster with my basket handle made of MMF!
Darn things take forever to dry! It was sitting there all pretty looking and then all of a sudden, plop!
I feel your pain....LOL!
