Ok, I'm trying to do a FBCT.....I've never done one (or much cake decorating for that matter) ... is this how its supposed to look before I put it in the freezer?

i just put it in the freezer... i was afraid to try and take a pic of it until I'd frozen it... i'll post it in about an hour or so

I like to dab my finger in cornstarch, then press down on the icing all over. Then I go over it with an additional coat of icing on top of that, making sure to press down again. This gives it a nice smooth look.
