I'm so excited!!! Thanks largely in part to the support I have received on these boards, I am now an official, legal home bakery!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now...I need a name! I don't really want to be Amy's Cakes or Cakes by Amy.

HELP!! Do you guys have any ideas? This is my basic info if you can think of how to incorporate it -- Amy; live in Sanford, North Carolina; want to do wedding, birthday, special occasion, etc.; my husband is a cop and I have lots of cop customers.

I hope you all brainstorm better than I do!!

Thanks in advance!!

Amy

You would have to call your home town Health Department and ask them..

Peony,

It is different from state to state and then sometimes from county to county.

In NC it is handled by the Department of Agriculture.

Good Luck!

When I was searching for a name I wrote down tons and tons of words I liked. I looked up the words in the thesaurus too and found more.
Does "southern belle" work for your area?
Do you want to add something about being an artist or creative?

good luck!

I also searched in the thesaurus and dictionary to find words that fit together, like words starting with the same letter. I came up with the name Enchanting Edibles, and i've already registered an email and website with yahoo.com...I'm nowhere near starting my own business, but I figure when I start doing more business cakes, I should have a name!

Amy,

Love you avatar, where did you get that? Anyway back to your question. The name of my business in CO was Southern Belle. That is why your avatar caught my attention. What would be wrong with your login name? I like it.
