What is the quickest and best way to frost mini tier cakes. 4,3,2 inches. I tried it a few times with buttercreme and it was so difficult. I don't have to much experience but would love to perfect these as center pieces for a shower.

Do a light crumb coat then freeze cakes for a short time, maybe 10 minutes. Then use a round tip or star tip-size 21 or smaller for the smaller layer and sqeeze out covering the whole cake then smooth. You want enough icing to cover the cakes so you don't get any crumbs when smoothing. Hope this helps.
