I want to make an 18 wheeler cake for my neighbor. He is a retired truck driver and would love the cake.
Does anyone know where I can find a picture and instructions? I've searched, but so far have come up with nothing.
Thanks,
Tammy

Do you think you could look at a picture of a real semi truck and put it together that way? You could cut and build layers of cake for the trailer end of the truck and do some carving of cake for the front of the rig. Your message could be the ad on the side of the trailer like you see on the hwy! Just an idea. HTH!

I just posted a pix of one I made today. I got the instructions from Wilton.com. It is the "Delivering Good Wishes" pattern. Just do a search for long loaf pan and you will find the instructions. Good Luck.

If you're thinking of making a 3D one, there are instructions here...

I haven't quite found what I want yet. I've gotten a few ideas and found a few pictures on my own. Hopefully I'll find what I have in mind soon. I'm sort of afraid to attempt this cake. I've only made standard birthday sheet cakes, round cakes etc. Although I've taken all 3 Wilton classes I'm still afraid of the unknown. Gotta get out of my comfort zone huh?? ?

Tammy: I just posted a truck in my pictures. Don't know if you've decided anything but thought this would give you some more ideas.

I have looked there before but not for this particular task. Thanks for reminding me of that site. I'll check it out.
