what kinds of flavor have you used for cake balls other than amaretto?
I want to make some with it...but I also want to make some for my kids...any ideas?
Also....can you cover cake balls in poured fondant? or is melted chocolate the best?
thanks
I just made some cake balls for my family for Easter. It was a lot of fun. I did choc cake with peanut butter in milk choc, choc cake with nuts and caramel in dk choc, strawberry cake with cr ch mixed with strawberry filling in pink choc, and lemon with lemon curd in yellow choc and coconut cake with coconut and sweet cond milk in white choc
mmm......did you use amaretto in them too? or did you omit that? what did you use for the liquid?
For the peanut butter I melted peanut butter and put in peanut butter chips, for the choc and nuts I added caramel topping (Ice cream topping), for the strawberry I just added the frosting, lemon just the curd and coconut just the sweet cond milk. They all held together very well.
I have about 10 different extract flavors that I use. Most recently I have used banana, cherry, raspberry, and anise. I think it makes it interesting to have different flavors.
