I am looking for some cake recipes using the box mixes and Dream Whip. I've heard that these are really great but I haven't been able to come across any recipes. Does anyone out there have a recipe they wouldn't mind sharing? Thanks soooooooo much.

Hi, Dream Whip box has both a recipe for the cake and frosting. Let me know if you need the recipe, cause you are going to have to purchase the Dream Whip Whipped Topping Mix in order to get the cake recipe and you will need one envelope of the Dream Whip Whipped Topping Mix to make the frosting. Hope I was able to help somewhat. icon_smile.gif

butternut--
When I took my first decorating class (20+ yrs ago), my instructor told us to add a package of dream whip to our box mixes and add only the ingredients of the box cake mix. Made them lighter tasting.

I always add a package of Dream Whip, 4 eggs, half cup of oil, and a cup of water to a box of any flavor cake mix, makes my mix go further and tastes great.

Here is a copy I have from another board.

1 Duncan Hines Yellow Cake Mix
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1 envelope Dream Whip powder
1 cup water
1/3 cup veg. oil
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon almond

Combine ingredients in large mixer bowl and mix on low speed 1 minute. Increase to medium speed and beat 4 minutes. Pour into greased and floured pans (2-9" round or 1-9x13 oblong) Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 30-35 minutes or until cake springs back when gently touched with finger. Cool in pans 15 minutes before turning out of pan onto rack. Cool completely and then ice with your favorite Chocolate Icing. You can use any flavor of cake and pudding in this recipe-it comes out beautifully!
