Last night I got my 52 cookies out and iced them. They are egg shape for easter, I just iced them with thinned buttercream and put a swirlie through the center. I don't know how you guys do it! I have discovered, I don't like decorating all those cookies and I only did 52 with minor decorations. You all get very elaborate and are soooo good at it. I say here's a big PAT ON THE BACK!! I am sticking to cakes. But I know where to get some wonderful cookies when I need them
Your right, cookies are more tedious, but they're like cakes: they get easier the more you do them. Hope you continue to do them - good luck! Plus, I'm sure they weren't that bad, how bad can a cookie be? A chewy sugary cookie is good no matter what it looks like!
I agree!! I did my first cookies this week and by the time I finished baking them I didn't even feel like getting all the different colored icing ready. I completely understand why they are priced as they are too! I felt like I could never get the day I spent on them back
I'm going to stick with cakes -- that is unless someone wants to give me some serious $ to make cookies! I used the article that I found here and I got a ton of compliments. I don't think they're enough to make me want to dedicate another tedious day to the art of cookie baking.
You cookie bakers are awesome!
Oh yeah ! they are a lot of work...I;d rather do one big cake . But sometimes I do it..
