What size tip would you recommend to do a basketweave on a 13 1/2" oval pan, 2 layers torted? It's about twice the size of the oval pan used in Course 2 (Wilton) so I was thinking maybe I should use a larger tip because the basket is so much bigger. Do you think it would be too small to use tip 47 that came with the kit? Should I size up a little? Your thoughts appreciated.

I think it would all depend on the look you want to achieve. For a dainty, delicate look, use the small one. Practice difference sizes on some wax paper, then hold it up near the cake to see which one you would like better.

you can do basketweave with any tip, it looks real nice with a star tip, 18 is a good size, also done using a round tip #5 with double lines. if you want to use the basketweave tip try 48, its a little bigger so it will be easier on the hand and cover quicker.
