12" And 8" Grooms Cake - How Would That Look
Decorating By PoodleDoodle Updated 13 Apr 2007 , 2:34am by marthajo1
I made a 10" round with a 6" inch on top grooms cake and was wondering how a 12" with an 8" on top would look. Can't find any pics. If you have a picture of one like this please give me the link.
Thanks a million
I usually stack the pans to get an idea of how cake sizes will look. I'm sure 12 & 8 would look fine.
Doug,
Thats a great visual.
What i do to get a visual is take whatever cakepans you want to work with & turn them upside down & place them how you think you want them stacked, to get a visual.
Good luck
A 6 inch cake always looks so tall compared to an 10 inch even if they are the same height! Optical illusion I guess!

You know I have noticed that too. Wonder why that is
It must have to do with the ratio of..... something?!?!
height to width
and yes they are all the same height...just different widths.
I remember in elementary school we had to look at all these optical illusions and try to decide if they were the same size or color -- so fun and brain teasing!
Thanks Doug
