12" And 8" Grooms Cake - How Would That Look

I made a 10" round with a 6" inch on top grooms cake and was wondering how a 12" with an 8" on top would look. Can't find any pics. If you have a picture of one like this please give me the link.

I usually stack the pans to get an idea of how cake sizes will look. I'm sure 12 & 8 would look fine.

Doug,

Thats a great visual.

What i do to get a visual is take whatever cakepans you want to work with & turn them upside down & place them how you think you want them stacked, to get a visual.

A 6 inch cake always looks so tall compared to an 10 inch even if they are the same height! Optical illusion I guess!

height to width

and yes they are all the same height...just different widths.

I remember in elementary school we had to look at all these optical illusions and try to decide if they were the same size or color -- so fun and brain teasing!
