First, my Antonia74 icing was way too runny. Asked for help...no one replied. icon_cry.gif Bumped myself...no one replied. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif Now my NFSC has failed me miserably as it is way too sticky. I made 6 batches last night to use today. It is all sticky. What do I do? Anyone? icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

My Antonia74 icing is always way too thick and I have to add water to thin it. LOL!! Can you add more confectioners sugar to it and thicken it up?

As far as the NFSC, I've never had that problem either, but can you add flour so it's not so sticky?

I hope you figure it out and make some yummy cookies!

Was it sticky before or after you cooled it? Mine sometimes gets sticky when it warms up. Did you roll it out B/W parchment paper and then chill it? If not then try it. If it is sticky after chilling it sounds like it might need some more flour.

Bless your heart! I am sorry I didn't see your posts!!! I hate to think someone is in trouble (especially if I think I might can help). The trick I learned is to WEIGH your flour! I had one recipe of NFSC flop on me and I purchased some $30 scales at Wal Mart and it was worth every penny! Now that I am accustom to the texture of the dough that also makes it easier. Add enough flour til it is not sticky any longer. It shouldn't stick to your fingertips if it has enough flour in it. HTH.

I use Wilton's recipe for RI! Tried the other and I didn't like it (I probably did something wrong....but nevertheless). HTH

I'm sorry that happened! I really think adding some flour would do the trick, and just add more powdered sugar to the icing. My advice is a little late I'm sure! Funny thing, when I make NFSC they keep coming out way to dry and crumbly. Maybe we should invest in that scale!!icon_smile.gif

I agree about the scale. I borrowed my mom's for the first time last week and I also used my SIL's KitchenAid....I was in heaven, and the cookies came out better than ever! Thanks to Antonia74 for suggesting the need to weigh the flour. She was right! icon_smile.gif

Sorry to hear you had troubles Thecupcakemom icon_sad.gif ...but you can always PM the person who posted the recipe for help, okay? I'm on here checking messages a few times every day as I wait for things to bake...but I'm not always scrolling through the forums.

If you still need help, let me know? icon_confused.gif
