I am doing my first flip flop cakes for a couple's shower. There needs to be about 20 servings. Do you cut the shapes out of a sheet cake? What size? I welcome any and all tips that will make this easier.

I am making a pair of flip flops this weekend for my cousin's birthday. I made a demo a couple of weeks ago just to make sure I got the shape correct. I used 2 bread loaf pans. It worked great. I'll post a pic once they are completed.

icon_biggrin.gif When I first read this I thought you were flipping the cake one way, then flipping it another... icon_redface.gif I still call them "thongs"...which now means a whole other thing...icon_biggrin.gif
