I saw a similiar cake in the William Sonoma catalog and they wanted $90 for it! Nothing fancy about it either! Just pink fondant.

Not only have I seen this pan but I was asked to bake a demonstration ake for the Wilton Instructors meeting last Sunday in San Antonio, TX. At first I wasn't interested but I remembered a fabric that I have been hanging onto that I wanted to duplicate on a cake and this was the perfect fit.

The red leather is fondant of course as well as all accents. I flavored the buttercream and fondant with CheftMaster Candy Flavoring in Toffee and it was incredible. I had a lot of fun making this cake and would probably place it on top of a sheetcake next time for more servings. Here's a pictue.

I have seen the new pans in Michaels near me. I bought the new Tinkerbell pan just a couple of weeks ago. I want to get the Pablo pan because my son adores the Backyardigans. I also wish they would make a 3d purse pan. Maybe we could put suggestions into Wilton. if they get enough of the same suggestion maybe they will consider making a 3d one.

I was also thinking that they should make pieces for a 3d castle. That would be cool than you can put it together to make it at big or as small as you like.

Wilton does have that. It is called the Romantic castle set. It looks amazing. I have seen that in Michaels too.

To aandecake: Someone at the Wilton Instructor's meeting made the new Castle Cake and I was very impressed with it. Each of the towers is a separate piece that you cover with either buttercream or fondant so you could make it as large or small as you want. Take a look at it, I think it's on the Wilton Website.

Sounds like Wilton is listening to CC'ers. I saw luster dust, sparkle icing in tubes, decorating bag holders and a new letter press in Michael's.
