My youngest son's birthday is on Friday. He wants a chocolate cake. I searched through the recipes here and on other sites and although I have found some interesting ones...I'm really looking for something that is tried, true, delicious, decadent and MOIST. I have one recipe and although it tastes good, it's not very moist.

Anyone care share their gems?

Thanks!! icon_biggrin.gif

Try the Chocolate Layer Cake on here, posted by tripletmom.

It's originally from Epicurious and it gets great reviews on here.

After reading many positive comments, I tested the chocolate cake recipe on the back of the Hershey cocoa box. I presume that it is printed on every box so you should have no problems acquiring it. It tastes delicious, keeps VERY well, and if you freeze the cakes, they come out even more moist and delicious after thawing than when you put them in.

It's also pretty inexpensive to make.

Last weekend I tried "Mrs. Sauls chocolate cake" posted by cakemommy and it was delicious.
