I'd like to know the answer to this question too, I've only been decorating for about 3 months now and some of my tips (mine are Wilton) kind of dull. Would soaking in vinegar help?

I'd like to know this too. Some of mine retain their shininess and some don't. They are all Wilton. Please share! icon_smile.gif

We talked about this is my Wilton classes. No one had the answers, but through our talking we discovered that everyone in the class on "well water" had dull tips and everyone on "city water" had shiny tips. I don't know if this is the case generally, but in our class of 12 it was 100% correct. icon_cool.gif

beez - ahh! that must be it... we have extremely hard water here where i am so i'm guessing that's why my tips have dulled icon_sad.gif i'll try inkyonne's suggestion and use stainless steel cleaner icon_wink.gif thanks!

I have well water and haven't had many issues with the tips dulling.....but we do have a water softener and a whole purification system attatched to it...so maybe that's why!
