I just made mmf for the first time. It seems pretty stiff and hard. Is this normal? I wrapped it up but I am wondering how am I going to roll this out? Did I do something wrong?
You may have added too much sugar
Try putting it in the microwave for about 8 - 10 seconds and knead it or rub a little bit of shortening on your hands and knead until soft.

i can't ever add in as much sugar as the recipe calls for or it gets dry and crumbly. rubthe outside of it with a little crisco and that might help along with the microwave.
ditto what itsloops said about the microwave thing! Usually you can pop it in the microwave for about 10-12 seconds and it'll be workable. Good luck!

I am just soooo excited about this! I normally have only been doing bc cakes because fondant (wiltons) is pretty gross!

I made my first MMF, this weekend. I have to zap it in the maicrowave as well. Plus, I kneaded more water in to it. It rolled out find, but the fondant was tough. I will try again with less sugar.
