i'm wanting to make easter eggs filled with peanut butter (like a resse cup) but can't get the peanut butter to fluff like a peanut butter cup does. its either too oily or toodry/tasteless. any suggestions for a failsafe peanut butter filling for chocolate molds? icon_confused.gif

I found it.....
Peanut Butter Eggs

1 cup graham crackers crumbs
3/4 cup peanut butter
2 cup powder sugar
1 cube margarine

Mix and knead, shape into eggs or any other shape. Dip into melted chocolate.

The crackers take on the flavor of the p.butter. My kids loved these.

Does 1 cube mean 1 stick of margarine/butter? How many does this relatively make?

Does the peanut butter get firm, or is it "soft" feeling? I sometimes buy chocolate/peanutbutter eggs and the peanutbutter is too firm. I want to try this for this weekend.
Thanks!

The peanut butter filling is both creamy and firm. Don't over do the crackers or it will be very firm. But it reminds me of a Reeses. Yes, one cube means, one stick of margarine or butter. The language show how old this recipe is. I can't remember how many it makes, also depends on the size that you mold them into.

What a delicious idea? I love Reeses. I have to try it. I bought some egg molds and this is as good a time as any to break them in.

Thanks sandie
