I've been seeing where a lot of people use the skewers in their cookie bouquets. I had a concern about this as one of the tips on using these is to insert the sharp side into the cookie because it goes in much easier. I insert the blunt end for the fear of someone jabbing a hole in their mouth with the sharp side. Especially little kids. Thought I would pass this along, I'd hate to see someone lose a customer or get a medical bill because of this. A lot of times, I go ahead and snip off the sharp end altogether. Better to be safe than sorry.

when I use the skewers I always push in the blunt end into the cookie because I use the sharp end to stick into the styrofoam for the cookie bouquets
