Oh, brother...how do I get myself into these messes?...lol
I decided to try my hand at cookie bouquets. I love cake decorating, and have sold some cakes here and there ( certainly no professional baker/decorator!).
I always send in my creations to my husband's small community grocery store just to share with his employees. I happen to get orders when I do this, which is great for me! Well, I already got 2 orders for cookie bouquets ( even though I don't think I know what I'm doing!...lol)one of the people wants to ship their cookie bouquet, and I don't know exactly how to package it for shipping? Can I shrink wrap the who bouquet? If so, how do I go about doing this? The person wants it in a flower pot. I think if it was in a basket, I wouldn't have a problem shrink wrapping it...but the flower pot kind of throws me off a bit. There is nothing to hold the shrink wrap on top of the cookies. If I place the shrink wrap directly touching the top of the cookies, won't they break? HELP!
Oh, yeah, also, what is the best way to secure the cookie sticks IN the flower pot? The one I did, I used regular styrofoam. This was a little weird though. The sticks seem to turn and move a little too much for my liking! Is there a better material to use for putting the sticks INTO.
Thank you all SO much for your help! Who knows, maybe this will be the start of something profitalbe!

I can honestly say that i have never shipped a cookie bouquet. I always deliver them. I am interested if someone knows how to ship them though!
I use the green foam instead or regular styrofoam.

Check it out..............here's a photo of my cookies I did.......also in a flower pot and I shipped them from Jersey to Ohio and not one cookie broke they were all in perfect condition.....I shrink wrapped like you said...all I did was stuff floral foam into the bottom of the pot...stuck the cookies on the sticks in the foam and then shrink wrapped the whole package...the shrink wrap doesn't break the cookies, in fact it actually aides in keeping them from breaking during shipping...then I took some paper..(I have a big roll of kraft paper) and ripped off some long sheets, crumbled it up and stuffed it all around in the bottom of a box, then laid the flower pot on it's side in the box, and stuffed crumbled paper all around the sides and on top and then taped up the box as normal. It worked perfectly. If you need anymore help I'd love to assist.

Tina,
This helped lots! Thanks for the suggestions. Yours look great, and I love your idea of jelly beans on the bottom of the pots instead of grass...and I guess if I put a dot of hot glue on the plastic bags the jelly beans are in, that will keep them from falling out during shipping better than the grass too! I really appreciate your help!

actually I used m&m's...but anyhow, what I did was I bought a round disc of regular styrofoam that was already the exact size of the pot and put it inside of a clear cellophane bag with the m&m's in there too....secured it with a twist tie...tucked the part that was twist tied inside the pot.....and then when I put the cookies in I simply poked a hole in the plastic (cellophane) that the m&m's were in inserted the stick and then shrink wrapped the whole thing....that way if it's tipped all the way upside down it will keep the candies in place........if you didn't understand let me know, I'll try to explain it better!!

I had to read it a couple of times, but it makes perfect sense to me now! I don't know HOW you were able to come up with that, but it's a great idea, and obviously works! You have been a tremendous help, and I thank you.
