I made some sugarveil icing yesterday and it was a disaster! I followed the instructions exactly but the icing came out really sticky. I whipped it for 2 mins on my KA (only made 1 cuo) and it when i lifted the whisk, it would not separate to give me any kind of peaks. i tried beating it a bit longer and still no luck! Anyway, I tried to pipe designs as well as laid some on a silpat to use the comb but the icing would not dry to be flexible enough, even after 8 hours? It was still a sticky mess!!!

What am i doing wrong???

I just bought som sugarveil and haven't tried it yet. I hope you find out what went wrong! I've been dying to use it but just haven't figured out what I want to do with it.

I've only made a couple of batches and never had a problem... if you e-mail them @ Sugarveil they've been really helpful to me with all my questions... I'm SURE they'll be happy to hear from you!
