Cake mix is best. I would use Duncan Hines and add an extra egg and instant pudding to make it more firm.

I saw Sandra Lee on her semi-homemade cooking show today using strawberry juice instead of the water that calls for the cake mix.

It looked really good and moist.

I cannot find DH Strawberry mix in my area. Could I use a white or yellow mix and add fresh strawberries? Adding juice sounds good too.

I have BC strawberry mix, but am concerned about adding pudding to it since there's already pudidng in the mix.

Thanks!
Rigama

Okay, if it has pudding in the mix, then don't add any more. Just add an extra egg for firmer texture. It should be fine too.
